It started with a simple belief

Every family deserves access to real, organic food — not just those who can pay a premium for it.

In 2016, our family rolled up our sleeves and planted the first seeds of Broadview Produce with a clear mission: to grow organic kai that’s not only good for people and the planet — but good value, too.

We’ve taken that vision beyond the veggie patch.
Today, Broadview is a certified organic farm supplying homes, retailers, and large-scale partners across Aotearoa — proving that you don’t need to compromise your values to meet demand. You just need to grow differently.

No inflated price tags. No plastic tunnels. No cutting corners.
Just open paddocks, regenerative practices, and a whole lot of hard mahi.

From our whānau to yours, we’re proud to grow real food that nourishes more than just a plate — it supports healthier people, stronger communities, and a better food system for the future.

Our Whānau.

One family, three generations, four kids  and a shared belief that good food should be grown with care and shared with everyone.

Broadview Produce is, at its heart, a family affair. It began with Karen and Lindsay, who’ve been farming organically in spirit for over 40 years. Their paddocks weren’t certified back then, but the ethos was always the same: respect the land, grow real food, and leave it better than you found it.

That legacy took on new life when their son William and his wife Gemma welcomed their first child, Emily. Like many new parents, they started looking more closely at what they were feeding their family and were struck by how hard it was to find organic kai that didn’t come with a premium price tag.

They saw a gap in the market but more importantly, they saw an opportunity to do better: for their kids, for their community, and for the food system as a whole.

Together, they planted the seeds of Broadview Produce: a small but determined family farm with a bold vision to make clean, certified organic produce more accessible to everyday New Zealanders.

Their organic practices were formally recognised in 2018 with AssureQuality certification but that was simply a milestone on a much longer journey. A journey driven by values, not labels.

Today, William and Gemma alongside their four children, Emily, Kaitlin, Jack, and Harriet work the same land with Karen and Lindsay. The kids lend a hand where they can, learning the rhythms of the farm. In peak season, local teens help pack produce after school turning the harvest into a community effort.

Because at Broadview, we’re not just growing vegetables.

We’re growing a future where organic food is the norm — not a luxury. A future where good kai, grown with care, ends up on every table.

Bring It to Your Table

Certified Organic, Backed by AssureQuality.

At Broadview Produce, we don’t just say we’re organic — we’re certified. Our farm has been certified organic by AssureQuality since November 2018.

AssureQuality is New Zealand’s leading provider of food assurance services, owned by the Crown and trusted across the industry. Their certification process is thorough and transparent, auditing everything from our soil health practices and growing methods to post-harvest handling — to ensure we meet strict organic standards every step of the way.

For us, this isn’t a tick-box exercise. It’s a reflection of how we farm: with care, with integrity, and with long-term sustainability in mind.
